About Us
Who are LFBC? We are a group of volunteers who have one thing in common, we have all been affected by Breast Cancer, through friendship, family or personal experience. This will apply to many of you as 1 in 9 women will be diagnosed with this all too common cancer, 46000 in total each year. It may surprise you that men get this too.
The LFBC fund is spent on equipment to aid diagnosis, ensuring that Birmingham has a centre of excellence, in this field. There are other benefits too, excellent facilities attract excellent staff. Early diagnosis improves survival rates.
In our 10th year we would like to increase the fund to £1 000 000, to continue improving the quality of care and indeed the journey of each and every person yet to be diagnosed.

Afternoon tea at Selfridges introduced LFBC and their guests to the latest fashions and designer handbags.

Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer held a Karaoke evening at Henry Wong Cantonese Restaurant in Harborne. A great time was had by all, an evening of good food, fine wine and song!

“Demons of Tune” raised the roof at the Jam House, St Pauls Square, Birmingham for Ladies Fighting Breast Cancer, an amazing £17, 000 for the charity was the result.
